Year 3 made some very healthy couscous based meals today!
Today in Forest School, we learnt about angles, particularly focusing on right angles. We used angle measurers to locate right angles in the forest and playground. Afterwards we played a game to help us understand full turn/360 degrees, half turn/180 degrees and quarter turn/90 degrees.
Year 3 chose a new class book this week. First, we looked at the front covers of four books and made predictions about their content. Then we listened to the blurbs to see if we were correct. Finally, we voted for our favourite giving reasons for our choices.

We revisited our knowledge of 3D shapes this afternoon and then worked in pairs to create some 3D shapes using sticks.
Year 3 enjoyed their first cookery lesson with Sheetal from KiddyCook today. They learnt about food hygiene, germs and made oaty biscuits.
We recapped our knowledge of 3D shapes today and then went on a shape hunt in the woods. Mrs Kilpatrick was very good at hiding them!
Mrs Barker set classes across the school a challenge to work out the seating positions of the children in Y4 by following some clues. We first looked at positional language and then used this to help us work out the answers. We finally popped into Y4 to check whether we correct. A great activity!
We made 3D maps of mythological lands to help us plan our myths this morning.
