Year 3 were very inventive this afternoon and created some fantastic caves for Cave Baby.
Year 3 washed some very dirty Stone Age animals this morning giving them the opportunity to practise using imperative verbs!

Year 3 enjoyed participating in Swim England’s Big Swim at The Furzefield this afternoon. The children wore their clothes and learned a few basic safety skills as well as looking at beach flags.
Year 3 went hunting in the cold for Stone Age animals in Forest School this afternoon. We then made hunting pendants based on the Mesolithic pendant discovered at Star Carr in North Yorkshire
Cas from North Herts Museum visited us this afternoon to teach us about life in the Stone Age. We held a 40,000 rock, touched a range of natural fabrics, built a large dwelling and some small dwellings, tried some archery and also held a replica bronze sword. This week we have represented three digit numbers in different ways, made predictions about the Secret of Blackrock, upcycled some plastic drinking bottles and planted bulbs in them, and mapped out our class text on very long paper. Here are some photos!
