Firstly, the whole Year 5 team would like to say a huge thank you for the generous gift which you gave to us. It was very much appreciated and we will no doubt find something lovely to spend it on.
It was such a special moment taking the children around our local community, to businesses who do so much for us and ones which provide us with lovely food and experiences! From McDonald’s to the RSPCA, Tesco to Potters Bar Community Hospital, the children certainly spread some Christmas cheer. We distributed shortbread (which we made in class on Tuesday) and handmade cards which put a smile on everyone’s face.
We also enjoyed the school Christmas dinner and talent show, in which there were many fabulous acts. From Year 5 we had some lovely singing, hilarious joke telling and a ‘how much water can we drink in 20 seconds’ challenge.
Have a look at our photos below to see what we have been up to in the last week of term.
We hope that you all have a very restful Christmas and we will look forward to seeing everyone again in 2019!
