Year Five must be congratulated upon another fantastic week of learning. They have been immersing themselves in poetry! From Haiku to Narrative, from Limericks to Sonnets! Children brought in their own favourite poems and shared them by sitting in our “poetry chair.”
Times tables and multiplication work are improving, when we know our times tables, it makes formal methods and word problems, so much easier.
We also had our Learning Reviews and all the children stepped up to the plate by presenting their own successes and challenges. We and Mr Billing were so impressed!
Talking about being impressed, #WroxhamReading has literally exploded in Year 5. It is so good to see everyone reading and encouraging all the other children to read too. Reading is the key to learning and so much more! We have loved seeing your posters and viewing your video reviews. They will all be posted on Twitter, but it takes time as we only have one iPad, but we are getting there! At this moment in time, one young lady’s video has had a like from “Mr David Walliams” and 10,300 views!
This week we shall be starting our rehearsals for The Christmas Jigsaw in the hall. We will send a letter home advising about costumes. Please remember that we have PE with Mr Owers on Monday, not Friday this week.
Keep up the super learning and acting!
